High School DropOut Rates

The high school dropout rates are extremely high in the US.  Approximately one third of all students drop out before graduation, and almost half of minorities drop out before graduation.  According to this article, our schools are not adapting to meet the needs of our students.  Students are not engaged in their learning and do not feel valued. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/elliot-washor/us-high-school-dropouts_b_1241670.html

Students needs have changed due to the digital world they live in.  Schools must change to meet their needs.  No one involved in education wants to see the dropout rate continue to increase.
